Metar Map provides easy access for viewing the worlds weather in a concise, easy to use application. When flying or driving, I often find myself wanting to know what the weather looks like on my route or in my area so I can better plan my departures or stops along the way.

I personally find this application very useful in both driving and flying. I frequently have trips that take me from Fort Collins, CO (KFNL) to Omaha, NE, (KOMA). Metar Map gives me a quick snapshot of what to expect on my trip. As a VFR pilot, I know that green dots are great, purple might get bumpy, I may have to fly low around the blue dots, and reds and yellow are off limits. When I’m forced to drive, I’m able to see exactly what’s being reported ahead and around me at any given time.
