Following in the footsteps of Cut Copy, Ladyhawke, and Empire of the Sun, Gypsy & the Cat are a self-described “semi-acoustic chillwave” duo who further cemented Australia’s reputation as the ultimate hotbed of synth pop talent. Named after a children’s book, guitarist/drummer Xavier Bacash and classically trained pianist Lionel Towers both attended the same high school, but due to their three-year age difference, only struck up a friendship when they met while DJ’ing in Melbourne. Quickly bonding over a shared love of French house music and ’80s pop greats such as Michael Jackson, Queen, and the Police, the pair began playing together in various local bands, including conceptual electronic outfit Night Corps, before deciding to record music as a duo under the guise of Gypsy & the Cat. After uploading some of their material on MySpace, they attracted the attention of influential Australian radio station Triple J, who continued to support them throughout their career, and Mark Ronson, who played their track, “Time to Wander,” on his East Village radio show. After signing to RCA, they relocated to Stoke Newington, London, where they opened for the Strokes and Foals, performed at the Splendour in the Grass, One Movement, and NME Weekender Festivals, and worked on material with producers Rich Costey (Franz Ferdinand) and Dave Fridmann (the Flaming Lips). Ich bin Tim und möchte dir meine App vorstellen, die sich "Musikwolke" nennt.
Ich habe die Musikwolke programmiert, da ich die Musik auf einem zweiten iPhone, iPod touch oder iPad fernsteuern wollte.
Es gibt zwar schon eine sehr gute App von Apple mit dem Namen "Remote", allerdings kann damit nur die Musik auf einem Mac oder PC ferngesteuert werden. Mit der Musikwolke kann ich allerdings auf jedes iOS Gerät in meiner Umgebung zugreifen und ausgewählte Lieder darauf abspielen. Natürlich kann ich nicht nur meine Geräte zuhause auf diese Weise steuern. Auch ein Gerät von Freunden kann ich kontrollieren, wenn es z.B in einer Musikanlage steckt. Ich weiß dann zwar nicht, welche Lieder dort abgespeichert sind, kann sie mir aber übersichtlich darstellen lassen und sogar durchsuchen.

Da ich glaube, dass meine App wirklich sehr hilfreich ist, möchte ich sie euch kostenlos zur Verfügung stellen.

Hello everybody!
I am Tim and I would like to introduce my new app which is called "Musikwolke". The Musikwolke (german for music cloud) is an app with which you can remote control the music library of another iOS device.
When you start the app you can connect to another device via Bluetooth which takes only some seconds. After that it is possible to pick one or an array of songs. After pressing play the songs you choose will be played on the other device.
This is really helpful for example if you are meeting friends and they want to choose the music or if you want to control your iPhone that is plugged into your speakers. There are a lot of situations where you can use it, I think.
Of cause there are a lot of other apps which provide similar features, but none of them can remote control another iOS device with one.

I believe that I developed a quite cool app and want you to have it for free.

So have fun with remote controling your music!
