Beschreibung

Wavetracks GPS is the first iPhone application for tracking, recording and improving surfing performance.

Wavetracks GPS allows you to track your entire surf session and view performance data for each successfully ridden wave after you finish surfing.

Distance
================
The distance from taking off on a wave to kicking out of the ride.

Duration
================
The duration time from taking off on a wave to kicking out of the ride.

Direction of Travel
================
The direction of travel (peel angle) varies between 90° (straight to the beach) for a beginner, and approximately 26° for a more experienced wave rider. More experienced surfers can get further along each wave, more quickly and at a shallower angle.

Max Speed
================
The maximum speed over the duration of the ride, often the take-off, or one big top turn off a critical section of the wave.

Average Speed
================
This is the average speed taken over the duration of the ride.

Potential Speed
================
The potential speed increases with the wave height. The bigger the wave, the faster it will move and the higher the potential speed a surfer can achieve.

Potential Reached
================
The potential reached is the average speed for the whole ride against the potential maximum speed. Maintaining speed through turns and transitions, close to the maximum potential means fast, fluid riding.
